If you need to get your xbox360 repair fast here are your options:

Microsoft – box up your console and ship it to Microsoft. Even though this option will get your Xbox360 repair, here are the negatives: When you ring up Customer Service, they’ll insist on sending you the proper packaging for you to use to safely transport your console. Waiting period: 3-5 days depending on which part of the world you come from! If your warranty is up or you have a second hand console with no warranty expect to fork up to $140 plus shipping at $25 ( again depending on which part of the world you come from) and finally wait up between 6 to 8 weeks for your console to be returned. That’s an awful long time not to be gaming but if you got the patience then this option works for you.

Your second option is to try repair your xbox console yourself. You’ll be sifting through endless hours online for free guides and watch tons of utube videos hoping you’ll find that nugget of information that magically tells you what to do. Most Xbox’ers who tried this ended up burning out their console. So I wouldn’t advise this unless you’ve got enough money to buy a second xbox.

Your final option is to get a hold of an an xBox360 repair guide that is put together by experts and can provide you with step by step video tutorials that any six year old can follow and that comes with a guarantee to have you back gaming on your Xbox360 within hours.

Unfortunately, for many, the xbox360 repair will become needed. Just as with other gaming consoles, the Xbox360 can be susceptible to problems. One thing many Xbox’ers dread are the three red lights appearing. This happens when three lights flash red on the Ring of Light on the front of the Xbox game console. The upper right quadrant light is the only light not flashing red, when this happens. Following is some help with Xbox360 repair when your power supply is red.

Sometimes you will see the light on your Xbox360’s power supply turn red or be off entirely. You can spot this when the power supply light goes from green to orange to red while the system is in use.

Luckily, the power supply has factory installed safeguards to assist you; they help avoid system damage to the game console and the power supply too. One of the great built-in features is that the power supply will automatically shut down when there is too much power going through or the temperature of the unit is too high. If any of these conditions are present, the light goes to red or shuts off all the way.

What Xbox360 repair should you try? You should first test to see if the power supply unit is cool to the touch. The red lights you see may be telling you the power supply is becoming too hot. If you find that the unit is hot to the touch, let it cool down for several hours. Be sure to turn off the entire system and do not risk turning it on again until the power supply has cooled down.

One tip you want to always keep handy is to ensure that the power supply to your Xbox360 is plugged in properly. You may not realize it, but plugging the power supply into an extension cord, surge protector or power strip may be delivering the wrong voltage. If this is your situation, you should instead plug the power supply directly into a wall outlet.

The last Xbox360 repair we can recommend is to try using a different power cord and power supply unit. Of course, if you have another power cord and supply unit, test out your game console with these. If the game console does not power up, unfortunately, the issue is with the console itself. If one of these three Xbox360 repair doesn’t get you up and running, you are likely going to have to have your system fixed.

Doing an xbox360 repair at home was easier than I might have thought. When the Red Ring of Death at the start appeared I did what probably most gamers do. I screamed and I stomped about the house.

Gaming consoles usually don’t break subsequent to you having gained the level, otherwise done the tough sequence, or Lord forbid, beaten the game. No, gaming units usually stop working in the middle of the hardest sequence, right when you are just about to conquer it. This frustration is enough to cause you to throw your broken Xbox360 out the nearest window.

Consequently came the call to Microsoft. After patiently answering all of the tech’s questions (though I wanted to absolutely shout, I didn’t) he informed me that the Red Ring of Death is a very ordinary fault, and the refurbish would be doable.

All I had to do was wait for them to forward me a mailing package, pack up my broken console and ship it to the service center. They would restore it and mail it back to me within no more than a few weeks.

As soon as I asked for clarification of the word ‘few’ he stated that it meant 4 to 6 weeks to be exact or at the most. In that long of time period - I, no doubt will have forgotten the trick I had just mastered in conquering the Level 10 sequence that had been beating my tail for many days now.

I knew there had to be a better, easier solution, one that made more sense for an xbox360 repair .

If you want - you can check out what I actually used by Clicking Here

So I decided to comb the Internet, which meant I went searching throughout the gaming forums. I was amazed at what I found. Many of my fellow gamers had already fixed their systems at home using just some very basic tools that they had at home.

There were a few unusual suggestions, together with the much talked about ‘towel fix’. I wondered as most gamers probably did, upon reading about the "towel fix".

If the Red Ring is an overheating problem how would a towel actually repair it? So ignoring such half-crazy advice I found a really awesome repair instruction manual with step by step information for fixing the fault that would get me back to playing games in hours not weeks.

Well, in my book, it was a no brainer- many long weeks or 2 to 3 hours. I chose to resolve the fault myself and I am really happy that I did. I saved a lot of money, not to mention all that time I would have had to wait for Microsoft to repair my system and return it to me. Repairing my Xbox360 took me no less than 2 hours. Why wait 4 to 6 weeks or more for your xbox360 repair if you don’t have to? Why don’t you consider doing what I did, repair your Xbox yourself?

I don’t know about other repair manuals - but this is the one I used. It was simple and easy to follow. CLICK HERE to review it yourself

P.S. I found out from the forums - many times those that sent their xbox360 back to Microsoft for a repair - ended up having to send it back again to be repaired again! So, if you can watch videos and follow easy instructions on a guide page you’ll be way ahead money wise and time wise by doing your own xbox360 repair .

These numbered error codes are shown below with their corresponding LED Code and may helped you with your trouble shooting..

Instructions:
If you have encountered one of these service errors:
- look up the code in the list below
- read the info
- read the solution (very important )

Info:
The AV cable cannot be detected by the console

Solution(s):
- Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.
- Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.
- If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.
- If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.

Leds 1, 3, and 4 are flashing red:

Info:
General Hardware Failure
The specific type of hardware failure can be determined by a “hidden” error code:

- Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.
- Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
- The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
- Release the eject button and press it again.
- The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
- Release the eject button and press it again.
- The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
- Release the eject button and press it again.
- The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
- Release the eject button and press it again.
- The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.

You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:

* All four lights flashing - 0
* One light flashing - 1
* Two Lights flashing - 2
* Three lights flashing - 3

0001 - power supply problem
0002 - power supply problem
0003 - power problem could be the PSU could be the GPU/CPU, somehow the console isn’t getting clean power from the power supply.
0010 - over heating
0011 - over heating
0012 - over heating
0013 - over heating
0020 - not yet known, possibly overheating
0021 - DVD Drive Time out - Can be caused by problems with a firmware flash. This is also speculated to sometime be caused by a problem with the southbridge chipset on the motherboard.
0022 - GPU Error / GPU Overheating
0102 - unknown error - littereally means the console does not know what is wrong. possibly a short or cold solder joint somewhere (2 reports of people repairing this, one was removing moisture build up inside the console, the other used a hot-air rework to reflow the BGA Ram chips)
0110 - not yet known
1022 - not yet known

Solution(s):
- Try restarting the console.
- If restarting the console does not resolve the behavior, follow these steps:
* Turn the console off.
* Unplug all the power and AV cables from the console.
* Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
* Firmly reconnect all the cables.
* Turn on the console.
- If these steps do not resolve the behavior, turn the console off, remove the hard drive, and then turn on the console. If the 3x Red LED error light is no longer displayed, turn the console off, re-attach the hard drive, and then turn on the console.

Sections 1, and 3 are flashing red:

Info:
Overheating

Solution(s):
- Let the Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for the console to cool enough. Do not turn on the console when the console is hot.
- Verify that the console has sufficient ventilation and that the fan is operating. For more information about ventilation, see the “More Information” section.

E66: DVD Drive Error
DVD model, or version does not match that of the version expected by the dashboard. OR the firmware version on the drive is older then the firmware version expected by the dashboard. Make sure the DVD drive is of the same version originally included with the console and that it is using either the original firmware included with the console or newer.

E67: Hard Drive Error
It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it.
